1. The Obedience Trials
shall comply with current AKC obedience regulations, and are
open only to Collies.
2. It shall be the
responsibility of the Host Show Committee to assure that
trials run smoothly, with adequate facilities and experienced
Ring Stewards.
3. The Host shall be
responsible for and arrange for:
a. The appointment of an
Obedience Chairperson who has a background in Obedience
Trials to work hand-in-hand with other committee members.
b. The appointment of at
least three (3) Ring Stewards for each class, one of which
will act as Secretary for the Judge.
c. Providing rings that
meet the minimum requirements as specified in Chapter 1,
Section 31 of the official AKC Obedience Regulations.
1. Obedience ring must
NOT be used by others IN ANY WAY, prior to completion of
ALL Obedience Judging.
4. The sequence of obedience
judging shall be determined by the AKC regulations. All
regular classes recognized by the AKC must be offered.
Graduate novice and Veterans will also be offered.
5. The Graduate Novice Class
and the Veterans Class must be listed as non-regular classes
in the premium list.
6. Other non-regular classes
may be offered by the Host and must be listed as non-regular
classes in the premium list.
7. An obedience entry need
not be entered in the conformation classes, although it is
encouraged.
8. If the owner of Highest
Scoring Collie is not going to stay until Best of Breed then
upon completion of Obedience judging, at the end of the
current conformation judging time set, the Highest Scoring
Collie in Obedience will be brought into the conformation ring
for presentation of the Bill Johnson Memorial Bronze Trophy.
a. All judging will cease
during this presentation.
b. If the owner is staying
until Best of Breed then the Highest Scoring Collie in
Competition will be brought into the ring prior to Best of
Breed for presentation of the Bill Johnson Memorial Bronze
Trophy.
c. Prior to show check as
to which day Mrs. Johnson will be present for the
presentation of the award.
