Breeders Seminar
The Breeders Education Seminar will be an exciting journey through history and on to discussions with the "master collie breeders" of today. The education will go on throughout the national with ringside mentoring available for each participant for at least two classes. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with the successful collie breeders of today. A continental breakfast will be served. The seminar will take place Tuesday, April 4 from

CCA CHECK POLICY in US Funds and drawn on US banks. Returned checks or money orders do not constitute payment for goods and/or services. All returned checks will be charged a $10.00 returned check fee. Repeated returned checks and/or failure to repay debts to CCA will result in being placed on “cash only” basis with the Club . Any payment received by CCA Show Committee for any purpose by an individual, group, or business with an outstanding debt to the Club will first be applied to that debt.

Ex-Pen Rentals
Ex-pens will rent for $25 each. They will be sold for an additional $25 at the end of the show making the total cost to rent/buy $50 each. The renters have the first priority to purchase them, but they must pay at the time of rental. To make a reservation you must have your payment to Martha by March 22. The ex-pens will arrive sometime on Monday, April 3. They will not be available until Martha arrives at the showsite on that day. For reservations contact:

Grooming
Reserved grooming reservations will not be accepted before November 1, 2005. Each Reserved Grooming space will be $40 for an 8' x 12' space. In the event of overflow grooming, spaces may be adjusted to 8' X 10'. Those who wish to groom together, must submit their request together. Request exceeding 8 adjacent spaces are not guaranteed to be next to each other. Please make checks payable in US funds to the CCA 2006 Show Fund. Funds must be enclosed with the reserved grooming reservation(s). Each space will be provided with a gallon of water. Additional water will be available for purchase. All x-pens must have plastic at least 10” up on the sides. Shavings and plastic will be provided, but must be requested at time of reservation; exhibitors will be required to pick these up in designated area. Refund for grooming spaces, may be requested before the closing date, after which time no refund will be made. Please forward Grooming Reservation(s) to:

You will have the opportunity to help turn the grooming and crating area into a showcase for our breed by participating in a Grooming/Crating area contest. Prizes will be offered for the top three placements. Judging will include the following criteria: efficient use of space; kennel identification; cleanliness; dog identification; and overall impression (including continuity of decorating scheme, attitude of exhibitor; theme, etc). Judges will be making anonymous visits to the grooming area throughout Wednesday and Thursday. Winners will be announced during a break in judging on Friday.

The Quarter Century Group annual banquet and program will be held on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the host hotel, the Doubletree Hotel Boise-Riverside. Cocktails (cash bar) will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. followed by a delicious buffet.

A notice about the grounds
Both the Western Idaho Fairgrounds and the Host hotel are excited about our holding the National in Boise. We would ask your co-operation at all times to help us to be welcomed back to Boise in the future, On both the show grounds and the hotel grounds there will be provisions made for scoopers and receptacles . Please use these when walking your dog. There will also be baggies available for the asking for anyone who prefers this method of cleaning up after their dogs and for when walking on the greenbelt.

The Exposition Building for conformation is climate controlled facilities with hundreds of electrical outlets. Its 5 minutes from the Host Hotel. Unloading will be allowed in designated areas. Exhibitors will be allowed in after noontime on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. Conformation events and vendors will be housed in the large central room. Grooming will be in the wings to either side of the large central room. The Fairgrounds offers 50 acres of lawn and grass areas. Please feel free to take a tour of the fairgrounds at http://www.idahofair.com and enjoy the photos included.
Weather
April is generally known for its mild temperatures. The average daytime temperature is 60. Nights are generally chilly, so be prepared! In addition, you can usually count on the wind blowing constantly! ^ Back to Menu Special Raffle

Top 20 Invitational
The Top Twenty presentation will be for exhibition only. Held on Wednesday April 5, 2006 in the Expo Building at the Western Idaho State Fair Grounds in Boise, Idaho. Each Rough and Smooth Collie ranking in the Top Ten, each Junior Handler ranking in the Top Twenty, the #1 Agility, #1 Herding and #1 Obedience Collie will be invited to attend. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a cash bar reception. In celebrating this event, we are requesting semi formal attire. The #1 Rough and #1 Smooth will each receive a Top Twenty Pin created and donated by Virginia Perry Gardiner. The #1 Junior Handler, #1 Agility Dog, #1 Herding Dog and the #1 Obedience Dog will receive a Top Twenty Pin created and donated by Rick Lingenfelter.
An entry fee for those qualifying for the Top Twenty will be $20.
Each entry will receive a Top Twenty Invitational Catalog, Poster and Rosette. Qualifying participants who have entered, but are unable to attend, will have their items sent to them following the event.
- Junior Handlers qualify by the Pat Edwards system, Dec 1, 2004 to Nov 30, 2005.
- Top Ten Rough and Smooth Collies qualify by the Hawkins system, Jan 1, 2005 to Dec 31, 2005.
- Performance Collies (Agility, Herding, Obedience) qualify by the Working Collie Committee system for 2005.
