Register of Merit
In 2004 the Collie Club of America instituted a Performance Register of Merit Award to parallel their already existing Conformation Register of Merit Program. The purpose of each ROM is to recognize and record those collies who have been the parents of an exceptional number of performance-titled offspring. To be awarded a Performance ROM a male dog must have sired at least five offspring with titles in obedience, tracking, herding or agility, and at least two of those offspring must have earned an advance title in one or more of those categories. Dams must have produced at least three performance titled offspring, again with at least two of those offspring having earned advanced titles.
