National Specialty award winners. The list is organized
by decade, beginning with 1894 and concluding with the most
recent show held in Louisville, Kentucky.
The pages are designed in sections
for easy reading with each year's awards grouped by either
a gray or white background. The year for each show is displayed
on the left of the section. The awards are listed in the
middle column. The name of the dog is listed in the right
column.
The awards include:
BOB -- Best of Breed,
BOB (R) -- Best of Breed
Rough Variety,
BOS -- Best of Opposite Sex,
BOS (R) -- Best of Opposite Sex Rough Variety,
WD -- Winners Dog,
WB -- Winners Bitch,
WD/BW -- Winners Dog and Best of Winners,
WB/BW -- Winners Bitch and Best of Winners,
BOB (S) -- Best of Breed Smooth Variety,
BOV (S) -- Best of Variety Smooth Variety,
BOS (S) -- Best of Opposite Sex Smooth Variety.
In year's in which there is
a format change at the National Specialty, the change is
described at the bottom of that year's section.
